This activity will give you a chance to study a section of the EM Spectrum in detail, and express your understanding in ER1: EM Spectrum, which can be found on my Teachers folder.
First, go to this site to make the connection between different kinds of EM Radiation and the wavelength of that radiation.
Then, choose between Microwaves and CAT Scans, and study the lessons presented at that site.
Take screen shots of the different simulations and use them to help you explain how one of them works.
If you choose Microwaves, make sure you carefully study the simulation where water molecules are rotated my microwaves.
If you choose CAT Scans, make sure you carefully study the simulation where a rib cage is X-rayed.
When you finish your ER1 page, PDF it and drag it to the Hand-in Robot. If time remains, you can work on EQ1, EQ2, and EQ3 through your Quia account!
EM Spectrum Mnemonics This page has the results of your memory tricks for the EM Spectrum (RMIVUXG).
